The Aussie Icons Top 30 is our annual, national celebration of the performers who have absolutely defined the art of burlesque in Australia over the past year. Powered by community nominations and decided by our national judging panel, this isn’t a popularity contest – it’s the ultimate recognition of impact, influence, and sheer, undeniable talent across Australia.
Aussie Legacy Hall
The Legacy Hall is the most sacred and coveted honour we bestow. It is reserved for the truly founding fabulous folks – the individuals (living or passed) whose extraordinary commitment, vision, and talent have fundamentally influenced the burlesque landscape of Australia over decades.

Who can be nominated?
We’re looking for nominees who incorporate burlesque as a significant part of their practice and meet at least one of these criteria:
State-local
Individuals, groups, businesses, or events based in their state.
State-focused
Local events or online spaces that serve the local burlesque community.
State-originated
Events, products and businesses sparked by state-based icons.

Nominations are open to everyone! Whether you’re cheering from the audience, performing on stage, or supporting behind the scenes, this is your chance to help us celebrate the incredible contributions that keep our community thriving.
- Self-nominations are totally welcome! Celebrate yourself and your achievements – you deserve it baby!
- Be generous! Nominate others whose contributions have made a difference.
- You can nominate multiple people, businesses, or events per category and submit the same nominee for different categories.
- Pro tip: Submitting the same person for the same category multiple times doesn’t give them extra glitter – ‘Double Submitting’ will void the additional votes!
